If there's one thing that the nation's parents and children have learned over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's that one size does not fit all when it comes to education.

As millions of households across the country struggled to get through administering education remotely, some parents were able to find a custom-tailored solution that not only made the remote learning process easier, but also allowed them to remain in control of their child's education and ensure that it met their needs and wishes.

One example is Bridget Kennedy and her two children. Kennedy wanted to homeschool her children for the sake of maintaining control over the content and purpose, but was worried that she did not have the capability or qualifications to provide her children with a quality, well-rounded learning experience. She was hesitant to hand over the responsibility to a service, but decided to take a leap of faith when she discovered Acellus Academy's Power Homeschool, an online learning program for children pre-K to 12th grade.

Bridget's children, Trystan and Annabella Kennedy, are in different grades and required different curriculum. Both had struggled in the past with traditional learning styles and curriculums.

Trystan has Asperger's, which made school a challenge for him. Annabella wasn't a good fit for traditional learning styles either, and frequently struggled in school and staying engaged.

Kennedy wanted a solution that could fit both of their needs and also allow her to be involved in the education of her children. She decided on Acellus' Power Homeschool.

Kennedy enjoys the fact that Power Homeschool allows her children to learn at their own pace.

"It allowed them to do the lessons they wanted independently and on their time,” she said.

Ever since Kennedy and her children have started using Power Homeschool, she has noticed a change in the quality and results of their education. She recommends Power Homeschool to other parents who are looking for a better remote-learning situation, adding that Power Homeschool was “transcendent over any travel or time difficulty making anything possible for any time of day for any kind of student.”
