Former George Washington High School standout Cam Reed took the field with the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Wheeling Cardinals on Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m. The Yellow Jackets came up short, losing 4-3.
The contest was held at JB Chambers I-470 Complex and marked the first meeting of the season between the Yellow Jackets and Cardinals.
Reed pitched seven innings, surrendering two earned runs, walking two, and striking out five.
West Virginia State’s next scheduled matchup against the Wheeling Cardinals is Sunday, March 15, at 4 p.m., again at JB Chambers I-470 Complex.
