At 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets, featuring former George Washington High School star Cam Reed, secured a 6-5 victory in NCAA Division II action against the Caldwell Cougars.
Calvin L. Bailey Field served as the site for this contest, which was the teams’ initial meeting of the season.
Reed gave up four earned runs in 4.1 innings pitched, issuing three walks while striking out two batters.
The Yellow Jackets will return to Calvin L. Bailey Field to face the Caldwell Cougars again at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28.
