U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, voted in favor of three appropriations bills for Fiscal Year 2026. The bills cover Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies; Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies; and the Legislative Branch.
Senator Capito had previously supported these measures during the committee process. She noted that while passing these bills is an important part of funding the government for FY26, more steps remain before they become law and funds are distributed.
“Senate passage of the first three funding bills is great news for our veterans and farmers, but also for our country as a whole. These bills support dozens of projects and priorities that I have requested in consultation with entities and organizations across West Virginia. Further action in the appropriations process is required, and we must use today’s momentum to continue our efforts and deliver for the American people,” Senator Capito said.
