U.S. Representative Carol Miller, who serves West Virginia’s 1st district in Congress, recently shared updates on her official social media account regarding healthcare visits, a tribute to a late colleague, and educational developments in the state.
On August 25, 2025, Miller highlighted her visit to a local medical facility: “Recently, I met with staff and physicians at Fresenius Medical Care in Lewisburg to see the incredible care they provide to their dialysis patients. Here in West Virginia, nearly 4,000 individuals are experiencing kidney failure and rely on frequent dialysis treatment. As”.
Two days later, on August 26, she expressed condolences for the passing of a fellow public servant: “I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my good friend, Tim Armstead. Miller has represented West Virginia’s 1st District since 2019 after succeeding Evan Jenkins. She previously served over a decade in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 through 2018. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950 and currently residing in Huntington at age 72, Miller is also an alumna of Columbia College in South Carolina where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 1972.
