Rep. Carol Miller, U.S. Congresswoman representing West Virginia’s 1st district since 2019, recently shared updates on legislative and policy developments through her Twitter account.
On January 13, 2026, Miller expressed gratitude toward her colleagues in the House of Representatives for their support of trade preference programs. She wrote, “I want to thank my House colleagues for voting to pass legislation that renews the Haiti HOPE and AGOA trade preference programs. These programs help keep American manufacturing dominant by securing diversified supply chains.”
Later that day, Miller commented on legal efforts concerning women’s sports, stating on January 13, 2026: “West Virginia Attorney General JB McCuskey and his team are bringing the fight to save women’s sports all the way to the Supreme Court today. I am a product of the 1960’s and remember well the fight to secure women’s rights in athletics and beyond. This is not a political”
In another post dated January 15, 2026, Miller discussed her role in supporting American technology companies against foreign trade barriers: “My Trade subcommittee colleagues and I must ensure that there are strong policies in place to protect our American tech companies from facing discriminatory trade practices abroad. Miller has served as a member of Congress since replacing Evan Jenkins in 2019 after more than a decade in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950 and currently residing in Huntington at age 72, she graduated from Columbia College in South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1972.
