Rep. Carol Miller, a U.S. Congresswoman representing West Virginia’s 1st district since 2019, addressed a range of legislative priorities in a series of recent posts on her official Twitter account.
On March 18, 2026, Miller wrote: “No living organ donor who generously steps forward to save a life should be left worrying about lost wages or out-of-pocket costs. I was happy to partner with Rep. DelBene to reintroduce the Expanding Support for Living Donors Act.”
The following day, March 19, she posted about trade issues facing U.S. technology companies abroad: “During this week’s Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee hearing, I highlighted concerning discriminatory practices our U.S. tech companies are facing in foreign markets and what outcomes we can achieve at the 14th WTO Ministerial. Later on March 19, Miller discussed healthcare policy during a congressional hearing: “During yesterday’s Health subcommittee hearing, I spoke on the need to expand access to new treatments for patients with end-stage renal disease and highlighted legislation I am working on that would expand Medicare support for staff-assisted home dialysis.”
Miller has served in Congress since replacing Evan Jenkins in 2019 and previously held office in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018. She was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950 and resides in Huntington. Miller earned her BA from Columbia College in South Carolina in 1972.
