Rep. Carol Miller, who represents West Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on her official X account this week, including tributes to national leaders and a meeting with an international diplomat.
On February 16, Rep. Miller marked Presidents’ Day by stating, “Happy Presidents’ Day. Today we honor the men who have led our nation through challenge and triumph and continue to preserve the values that make America great. “
Later that day, she highlighted her participation in a ceremony honoring former Speaker and State Supreme Court Justice Tim Armstead alongside members of West Virginia’s Congressional Delegation and Legislature. She wrote on February 16: “Today I joined with members of our state’s Congressional Delegation and the West Virginia Legislature to honor former Speaker and State Supreme Court Justice Tim Armstead. Tim’s life was one guided by his Christian faith and dedicated to the service of our state and its people.”
On February 18, Rep. Miller reported on diplomatic engagement with Azerbaijan’s ambassador: “I had a very productive discussion with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Khazar Ibrahim, and look forward to our continued work together as we strengthen the partnership between our countries.”
Rep. Carol Miller has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Evan Jenkins as representative for West Virginia’s 1st district; prior to that she served in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950, Miller resides in Huntington and holds a BA from Columbia College in South Carolina.
