Ben Nicol, an accomplished former George Washington High School basketball standout, took the court on Saturday, Feb. 28, as the Charleston Golden Eagles secured an 84-64 victory over the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets.
The 6-foot-7 sophomore guard/forward tallied 17 points, collected four rebounds and dished out one assist in his 32 minutes on the floor.
The contest also featured another former Lee Network WV athlete. Eli Robertson appeared for the Golden Eagles during Saturday’s matchup.
Robertson, a 6-foot-4 junior guard who attended Herbert Hoover High School, recorded five points, three rebounds and one assist in 13 minutes.
