Natalie Smith, an accomplished former Nitro High School basketball standout, took the court in the Charleston Golden Eagles’ 75-58 victory over the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets on Saturday, Feb. 28.
The 6′0″ freshman forward added two points, five rebounds and two blocks in 12 minutes of play.
Smith was joined in Saturday’s game by another former Lee Network WV area athlete. Laynie Binion also played for the Golden Eagles.
Binion, a 5′6″ freshman guard from St. Albans High School, tallied three points and five rebounds across 12 minutes.
