At 5 p.m. Thursday, March 19, the Marietta Pioneers—featuring former Capital High School standout Evan Wilson—were defeated 14-2 by the Washington & Jefferson Presidents in an NCAA Division III baseball contest.
Don and Sue Schaly Field at Pioneer Park hosted the game, marking the teams’ initial meeting of the season.
Wilson worked one inning, giving up one earned run and striking out two batters.
The Pioneers are set to play next on Saturday, March 21, at 1 p.m. at Fishbaugh Field against the Otterbein Cardinals.
