Governor Patrick Morrisey has announced that President Donald Trump has approved West Virginia’s request for Public Assistance in Marion and Ohio Counties under FEMA-4884-DR.

“This Public Assistance from FEMA is critical to aiding our recovery efforts in Marion and Ohio Counties,” said Governor Morrisey. “I am grateful to President Trump for once again delivering for West Virginia, and to our federal delegation for their support. We are going to keep coming together as Team West Virginia until these communities make a full recovery.”

The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Public Assistance Program will provide supplemental grants to state and local governments, as well as certain private non-profits. These funds will help cover costs related to debris removal, emergency response, and the restoration of damaged infrastructure.
