Dr. Tom Williams has been recognized as the 2024-2025 KCS Educator of the Year. With a career spanning four decades, Dr. Williams has held various roles in education, including special education classroom teacher, club sponsor, school counselor, assistant principal, high school principal, assistant superintendent, deputy superintendent, and superintendent.

His leadership during challenging times such as the Covid pandemic and school consolidations has been noted for prioritizing students’ interests. “He made every decision for the student’s best interest at heart,” a statement said. Despite facing criticism on social media for some decisions, he remained focused on benefiting current and future students.

Dr. Williams is committed to improving academic growth and leads with “vision, empathy, understanding, experience and dedication to KCS.” Outside of his professional life, he is married to Kim and is a father to two children and grandfather to three grandchildren. His hobbies include reading, exercising, spending time with family, and following weather updates.

“We cannot think of anyone more deserving for Educator KCS,” was expressed regarding his award recognition.
