Kanawha County Schools (KCS), in collaboration with the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is offering a summer food program at 11 locations this year. The program provides meals to children during the summer months.

The dates and times for meal pickups vary by location. At Central Elementary School, Elk Elementary, Flinn Elementary School, Kanawha Valley EC, Overbrook Elementary School, and Martin Luther King Center, the program runs from June 9 to August 1. Grandview Elementary School offers meals from June 10 to June 30. Mary C Snow West Side Elementary School will have meals available from June 18 to June 27. Capital High School’s program is scheduled for July 7 to July 18. Sharon Dawes Elementary School will provide meals from July 7 to July 17. The Regulatory Training Center/Edison Annex has two separate sessions: June 23-26 and June 30-July 3.

All sites will be closed on Friday, July 4th.
