On Saturday, February 21, Natalie Smith, the accomplished former Nitro High School basketball player, played in the Charleston Golden Eagles’ 82-to-52 win over the Davis & Elkins Senators.
The 6′0″ freshman forward contributed six points, 11 rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes of action.
Smith was not the only former Charleston Leader area athlete to play in Saturday’s game. Laynie Binion also played for Golden Eagles in the game.
Binion, a 5′6″ freshman guard from St. Albans High School, contributed seven points and one rebound in 14 minutes.
Up next for the Golden Eagles: on Wednesday, February 25 at 5:30 p.m., Charleston plays against the Glenville State Pioneers on the road.
