Rep. Carol Miller, a U.S. Congresswoman representing West Virginia’s 1st district since 2019, has recently addressed several international issues in a series of posts on her official social media account.

On January 15, 2026, Miller voiced support for the Iranian people and criticized the current regime, stating, “I encourage the people of Iran to continue their resistance against the tyrants that have cut them off from the world and are violently executing their own citizens. The Iranian regime openly despises America and their own people. Their grip on power must be confronted and”.

Later that day, she reported on diplomatic efforts with Kazakhstan, writing, “Today, I met with Kazakhstan’s new Ambassador, Magzhan Illyassov. We had a productive discussion on strengthening U.S.–Kazakhstan trade ties and repealing Jackson–Vanik. I will continue working to expand cooperation between our countries and push forward legislation that”.

On January 16, 2026, Miller commented on U.S.-South Korea relations: “The United States and South Korea have a longstanding and important relationship, built on a strong foundation of U.S. security guarantees that have recently been reaffirmed and strengthened. Despite this, the Korean government and President Lee are actively persecuting American”.

Miller has served in Congress since replacing Evan Jenkins in 2019 and previously represented her state in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018. She was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950 and resides in Huntington. Miller is an alumna of Columbia College in South Carolina (source: FACTS FOR STEP 4).
