Rep. Carol Miller, who represents West Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used her social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and participation in policy events.
On September 17, 2025, Miller posted about her initiative to bolster domestic fusion energy manufacturing. She stated, “Time and time again, we have seen American innovation become dominated by a Chinese supply chain. That is why I introduced the Fusion Advanced Manufacturing Parity Act to support domestic fusion energy manufacturing and cement our foothold in this emerging, multi-trillion-dollar”.
The following day, on September 18, 2025, Miller described her involvement in a panel discussion focused on pro-life policy at a summit event. She wrote, “This afternoon, I was honored to join friends and colleagues on the Pro-Life Panel at the Value Action Team’s Embarkation Summit. Later that same day, Miller drew attention to rural healthcare issues by leading an effort regarding ambulance service reimbursement. In her post she said: “Today, I led a letter to ensure rural ground ambulance services are being appropriately reimbursed. Patients in rural America need these life saving services available to them. Miller has represented West Virginia’s 1st District since 2019 after serving over a decade in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018. She was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950 and resides in Huntington.
She graduated with a BA from Columbia College (South Carolina) in 1972.
