Rep. Carol Miller, who represents West Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her official Twitter account addressing religious observances, tourism developments, and aerospace achievements relevant to her state.
On March 29, 2026, Miller extended well wishes for a Christian holiday: “Wishing you all a joyous Palm Sunday as we begin the Easter season.”
Two days later, on March 31, she highlighted recent recognition for one of West Virginia’s natural landmarks: “The @NewRiverNPS was recently designated the #1 underrated vacation destination by @usnews! I’m happy to have helped lead the House effort to secure its national park designation in 2020, bringing increased tourism and economic growth for the surrounding small businesses.”
On April 1, Miller addressed a milestone in space exploration involving contributions from West Virginia industries: “Please join me in praying for the @NASAArtemis and @NASA_Orion astronauts as they embark on their journey to the moon! On top of this being an amazing accomplishment for the United States, it is also a huge win for West Virginia! @Constellium in Ravenswood produced the aluminum”
Miller has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after replacing Evan Jenkins. She previously held office in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950 and currently residing in Huntington at age 72, she graduated from Columbia College in South Carolina with a BA degree in 1972.
