Rep. Carol Miller, who represents West Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on her recent visits to community organizations in West Virginia through a series of social media posts.
On August 12, 2025, Miller posted about her visit to MountainHeart in Wyoming County: “It was wonderful to visit MountainHeart in Wyoming County this morning and meet their incredible staff. For 60 years, MountainHeart has been dedicated to improving the lives of people in southern #WV through a wide array of services including early child care, business”.
Later that day, she highlighted her tour of the Matthew Pack children’s home alongside West Virginia Treasurer Larry Pack: “The Matthew Pack children’s home has a forty-year history of meeting the needs of autistic and developmentally delayed children. I was glad to join WV Treasurer Larry Pack in touring their expanded facility today and recognizing it in light of National Non-Profit Day coming up on”.
On August 13, 2025, Miller visited the Mountwest Culinary Center and met with the WV Food and Farm Coalition: “This morning, I toured the Mountwest Culinary Center and met with the WV Food and Farm Coalition. They do great work supporting our local farmers and using their produce to prepare meals sold here in our state.”
Miller has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Evan Jenkins. She previously served in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018. Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950, Miller resides in Huntington and holds a BA from Columbia College, South Carolina.
