U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito visited the Constellium plant in Jackson County, West Virginia. The senator, who plays a significant role in the Senate Appropriations Committee, met with the company’s leadership team and CEO Jean-Marc Germain.
Senator Capito discussed the manufacturer’s ongoing positive economic impact in West Virginia. She has been instrumental in obtaining Department of Defense funding to aid Constellium in expanding its manufacturing efforts in the state, supporting production critical to national security, and bolstering its role in the U.S. space program.
“Constellium is one of West Virginia’s largest manufacturers, with the Ravenswood plant serving as one of the world’s largest rolled products facilities. Over the years, I have been a proud champion of Constellium in the United States Senate by helping them secure funding to expand their operations and employ more West Virginians. Today’s visit was a great opportunity to hear directly from Constellium’s dedicated leadership and workforce and see firsthand the innovation and impact this facility has on our state’s economy. I’m proud to support American manufacturing and the hardworking West Virginians who keep it moving forward,” Senator Capito stated.
