Senator Jim Justice, U.S. senator from West Virginia and former state governor, used his social media platform this week to highlight business leadership, small business contributions, and military honors in a series of posts.
On May 4, Justice expressed support for the Public Service Commission’s annual gathering, stating, “Honored to join @PSCSpeaks for their 2026 Annual Conference. These leaders are a huge force in strengthening business relationships and moving America forward. I’m proud to support their vital work.”
Later that day, he marked the beginning of National Small Business Week by acknowledging local entrepreneurs: “National Small Business Week starts today, and we’re kicking it off by spotlighting some outstanding West Virginians. Our small businesses are the backbone of our state. We owe them a big thank you for everything they do.”
On May 5, Justice commended two service members recognized for acts of bravery: “West Virginians are as tough and selfless as they come—and when the call goes out, they don’t hesitate. Thank you @DeptofWar and @PeteHegseth for honoring Army Maj. Ryan Reynolds and Air Force Maj. Edwin Stanfield with medals for their bravery.”
Justice has emphasized youth programs and constituent engagement through his office, according to his official website. He previously served as governor of West Virginia with a focus on economic growth and is noted as a lifelong resident who draws on local experience in his senatorial duties. Justice holds undergraduate and MBA degrees from Marshall University, where he also captained the golf team.
