Senator Jim Justice highlighted recent investments and community engagements in a series of posts on January 21, 2026. Justice, who previously served as Governor of West Virginia before becoming a U.S. Senator, used his social media platform to discuss support for rural health hospitals, youth organizations, and affordable housing initiatives.
On the subject of healthcare infrastructure, Justice wrote on January 21: “Rural health hospitals are the lifeblood of our state. As Governor, we invested big in places like Rivers Health, and as Senator, I worked with @SenateGOP to lock in this funding. Our rural hospitals deserve that, and we’re going to keep showing up for them in every way.”
Later that day, he acknowledged local youth programs by stating: “The Boys and Girls Club of Parkersburg is truly going above and beyond for our kids every single day. Babydog and I had an absolute blast spending time with them. There’s nothing better than seeing our kids shine!” This reflects ongoing efforts by community organizations to provide services for children across West Virginia.
In another post on January 21, Justice addressed affordable housing: “Great morning joining FHLBank of Pittsburgh for a HUGE investment of $23.9M for affordable housing projects across West Virginia! Affordable and abundant housing is the foundation of the American Dream, and we are pulling the rope to make it a reality.” The Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLBank) system plays a key role in supporting local lenders’ ability to finance home purchases and development projects nationwide.
Justice’s comments reflect policy priorities that have been central during his tenure as both governor and senator—particularly investments in healthcare access for rural communities, youth engagement through local organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), and partnerships with financial institutions like FHLBank aimed at expanding affordable housing opportunities throughout West Virginia.
