On March 19, 2026, Capito posted: “We need an ID for standard everyday life—voting should be one of them.” The following day, she expressed support for the West Virginia University women’s basketball team with the message: “Can’t wait to cheer on @WVUWBB!” Later that same day, Capito commented on the need for bipartisan collaboration, stating: “Couldn’t agree more. Democrats need to come to the table now.”
