Senator Shelley Moore Capito highlighted recent community development projects and funding announcements in a series of posts on February 20, 2026. The updates focus on infrastructure investments across several West Virginia cities.

In her first post, Capito stated, “ICYMI: This week, I announced CDS funding for @flycrw to expand and improve facilities to better serve passengers and crew. I’ve seen firsthand how this investment will elevate the travel experience, and I am proud to help deliver these upgrades. @WVMetroNews with more:” (February 20, 2026).

Later that day, she shared her experience touring local initiatives in Bluefield: “Loved starting my day touring @CityofBluefield’s revitalization projects and hearing about what’s ahead. These investments are driving real progress, and it’s incredible to see them come to life. Proud to support efforts that will deliver lasting benefits for the residents,” (February 20, 2026).

Capito concluded her updates by describing a visit to Princeton: “Wrapped up the day in the City of Princeton touring progress on a CDS-supported project I helped secure. Since launching in 2017, this effort has focused on bringing the Public Works, fire, and police departments under one roof. I am proud to support this investment to improve” (February 20, 2026).

Senator Capito represents West Virginia in the U.S. Senate and is known for supporting federal investments aimed at improving public infrastructure within the state.
