Senator Shelley Moore Capito has recently shared updates on broadband connectivity, tax legislation, and local infrastructure projects in West Virginia through a series of posts on her social media account.

On August 28, 2025, Capito addressed the unique challenges facing broadband access in her state. She wrote, “In West Virginia, we know that our broadband needs are unique. I look forward to continuing to work with Commerce Secretary @howardlutnick, @NTIAgov Administrator Arielle Roth, our state partners, and leaders in our state to connect not only communities across West Virginia but https://t.co/UDZxuW7QZ1”.

The following day, August 29, Capito discussed the impact of recent tax provisions included in federal legislation. She stated, “The tax provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill are gamechangers for every part of our state.
