On April 7, 2026, Capito posted about her visit to the Martinsburg Fire Department, stating, “I wrapped up my day at the Martinsburg Fire Department to review progress on CDS-supported projects. It was great to see some of the equipment in action and that these investments are helping ensure first responders have the tools they need to protect and serve the community.”

The following day, Capito addressed tax season benefits for residents, writing on April 8, 2026: “This tax season, millions of Americans—including many West Virginians—are seeing bigger refunds, putting more money back in their pockets thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts.”

Also on April 8, Capito referenced a recent tour through the Eastern Panhandle region: “ICYMI: I visited the Eastern Panhandle yesterday to meet with local leaders and receive updates on CDS projects I supported. Learn more about the visits here: https://t.co/b8mGofOzPY”
