U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito recently highlighted several aspects of her work and community engagement in a series of posts on her official X account.
On March 28, 2026, Capito shared her pride in West Virginia athletes, stating, “From the @WheelingNailers to the @HockeyCHC game— proud to see former Wheeling Nailers player Will King representing West Virginia on the ice!”
The following day, she expressed appreciation for young people involved in public service through internships. On March 29, 2026, Capito posted, “One of my favorite parts of my job is having interns in my offices. It is evident that these bright young men and women have so much enthusiasm for public service. Thank you all for your hard work—we can’t wait to see the places you’ll go!”
Later that same day, Capito referenced her ongoing focus on infrastructure improvements by meeting with local officials. She wrote on March 29, 2026: “Great to meet with officials from Morgantown earlier this week to discuss improvements to the airport infrastructure.”
Senator Capito has dedicated her career to serving West Virginia and holds positions on several Senate committees focused on appropriations, commerce, science and transportation, as well as environment and public works.
