Senator Shelley Moore Capito has highlighted recent achievements and initiatives for West Virginia through a series of posts on her official social media account.

On November 17, 2025, Capito wrote about the passage of appropriations bills that direct resources to key sectors in West Virginia. She stated, “Whether it’s strengthening the infrastructure that supports our veterans and military families or supporting our first responders, I’m proud of the resources I secured for West Virginia in some of the appropriations bills recently passed.” The post included a link to additional information.

The following day, November 18, 2025, Capito commented on a major corporate investment in the state by Toyota. She posted, “This is an enormous investment by @TOYOTA into our state. Time and time again, we’ve proven that West Virginians are dedicated workers who ensure a quality product is delivered. I can’t wait to see how this expansion will continue to positively impact West Virginia for years to”. The announcement follows previous collaborations between Toyota and local industries aimed at job creation and economic development.

Later on November 18, Capito recognized young leaders from West Virginia nominated to national service academies. She wrote, “I’m honored to nominate 30 outstanding high school seniors to the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S Merchant Marine Academy. I know these young men and women will excel in all they do in the future.”

Shelley Moore Capito serves as U.S. Senator representing West Virginia and has frequently focused her legislative efforts on economic growth, infrastructure improvements, and support for military families within her state.
