Shelley Moore Capito, U.S. Senator representing West Virginia, posted a series of updates on November 19, 2025, highlighting economic developments, legislative efforts for veterans, and local sports achievements.

In a tweet posted at 16:42 UTC, Capito commented on her recent visit to Toyota’s Buffalo plant in West Virginia. She stated, “After visiting @Toyota’s plant in Buffalo just last week, I was amazed by the scale of the facilities and their dedication to continued growth in our state. I celebrate the addition of 80 more West Virginian jobs to the more than 2,000 jobs that the plant already provides.” The facility is one of the largest manufacturing employers in West Virginia and has played a significant role in supporting the state’s economy.

Later that day at 18:39 UTC, Capito addressed veteran healthcare options. She wrote, “Our veterans deserve the very best care we can provide, including safe and effective options to manage pain.

The NOPAIN for Veterans Act would expand veteran access to non-opioid alternatives by providing pathways for FDA-approved non-opioid treatments to be included in the VA”. The proposed legislation seeks to improve pain management resources for veterans by increasing access to alternatives beyond traditional opioid medications.

At 20:54 UTC on November 19, Capito also celebrated a local sports victory with her family and community members. She posted, “Throwback to Friday’s big win! Nothing like celebrating a @WVUWBB victory over Duke with my family and Mountaineer fans. Proud of this team and the energy they bring to the court!” The West Virginia University women’s basketball team’s win over Duke drew attention from supporters across the state.

Senator Capito has served as an advocate for economic development initiatives within West Virginia as well as improved healthcare services for veterans. Her public statements often highlight both statewide progress and community achievements.
