EDA awards the Regional Intergovernmental Council $100,000 grant on July 29, 2019

The US Economic Development Administration awarded the Regional Intergovernmental Council a grant worth $100,000 to help fund a project in Kanawha County.

The grant was awarded on July 29, 2019. The EDA describes the grant as follows:

"This EDA planning investment supports the development and implementation of a comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS) for the region served by the BCKP Regional Intergovernmental Council, which comprises the counties of Boone, Clay, Kanawha, and Putnam. The CEDS process is designed to bring together the public and private sectors in the creation of an economic development roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy."
