Graduates earn 685 degrees from the University of Charleston

About 51.8 percent of the 685 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Charleston in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Charleston conferred 235 bachelor's degrees and 113 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership. Data shows the school gave out 179 bachelor's degrees in organizational leadership, followed by 75 master's degrees in "other" business, management, marketing, and related support services and 62 doctor's degrees in pharmacy.

The university enrolled 2,623 students for 2017-18, including 1,930 in undergraduate programs and 693 in graduate programs.
