The Marshall University women's soccer team (1-1-2) hits the road for the time this season as it heads to Lynchburg, Virginia, for a matchup against the Liberty Lady Flames (2-1-1) on Thursday night at 6 p.m.

The Herd has several student-athletes in the top 10 of various statistics in the Sun Belt.
Graduate student midfielder Kat Gonzalez has 12 shots season with freshman forward Bailey Fisher and senior forward Morgan White having nine each to rank third and in a tie for eighth, respectively, in the conference.
White also has a team-leading six points and a team-leading three goals to sit in fifth and a tie for third in the SBC. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native leads the Sun Belt in shooting accuracy with 77.8 percent of her shots coming on target.
Junior midfielder Abi Hugh is one of only 11 student-athletes in the Sun Belt to record multiple assists this season.
Freshman goalkeeper Alexis Wolgemuth has an .800 save percentage, seventh best in the league, and a 1.28 goals against average, ninth in the SBC, in two games this season.
SCOUTING LIBERTY
The Lady Flames are 2-1-1 this season defeating East Tennessee State and Campbell, falling to UNCG and tying App State.
McKinley Burkett leads Liberty with a pair of goals this season, including one from a penalty kick.
Goalkeeper Ainsley Leja has a pair of solo shutouts and a combined shutout this season. She has allowed one goal in four matches this season.
SERIES HISTORY
Marshall leads the all-time series 2-0-1, with the last meeting coming in 2013.
