CAMC awarded for excellence in healthcare

CAMC has been awarded two top quality awards from national healthcare research leader Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC). CAMC Teays Valley Hospital scored in the top 25% nationally for nursing care, and CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital’s Emergency Department also scored in the top 25% nationally for overall quality of care.

The Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize organizations that achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences, healthcare employee engagement, and/or physician alignment and engagement based on surveys of their patients and physicians.

“It is an honor to recognize CAMC with these awards for their deserving work,” said Joe M. Inguanzo, Ph.D., President and CEO of PRC. “It takes true dedication and determination to achieve this level of excellence in healthcare, and CAMC has shown its commitment to making its medical center a better place to work, a better place to practice medicine, and a better place for patients to be treated.”

“Our top priority is providing the best health care and creating the best experience for every patient, every day, and this is a tremendous honor that recognizes our incredible team of providers that support that mission,” said Glenn Crotty, Jr., MD, president and CEO of CAMC Health System.
