"I am excited to see these funds that I secured go directly to Worthington to help improve its water system," said Senator Capito. "These upgrades will create better access to clean drinking water for communities in Worthington, as well as those in surrounding areas across Marion and Harrison counties. I was proud to use my positions on both the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee to secure this award through the CDS process."
The award amounts to $1,000,000 and will specifically fund the replacement of 12,600 linear feet of 6-inch water mains, 20,000 linear feet of 2-inch water mains, valves and fire hydrants, pressure reducing stations, and the installation of leak detection meters in Worthington.
