The NDN Collective, which has referred to the United States as an “enemy” and a “so-called country,” is set to administer $100 million in funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through the Inflation Reduction Act.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, released a new report today as part of the committee’s ongoing oversight of the Democrats’ $1.6 trillion Inflation Reduction Act.

The report, titled “Investment in Radical Activists: A Case Study on the NDN Collective Supported by the Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act,” highlights anti-American statements and positions from the NDN Collective, a group that will administer $100 million in taxpayer money from the EPA.

“In our oversight of the Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act, we’ve found over and over again that the law is quietly bankrolling extremist groups like the NDN Collective that openly advocate for anti-American, anti-police, and anti-Semitic causes, which have nothing to do with protecting the environment,” said Ranking Member Capito. “The American people deserve to know the truth about how the Biden administration is spending their money, and we will continue to follow where that money goes, exposing the indefensible positions held by groups that are benefiting along the way.”

In December 2023, the EPA announced that NDN Collective would help administer two grants of $50 million each.

The NDN Collective has stated several official positions:

- “We do support defunding the police and U.S. military”

- The United States is a “so-called country” and an “enemy” that must be held “accountable”

- "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free"

Other radical groups benefiting from IRA funds have also been highlighted by Ranking Member Capito:

On May 21, Capito highlighted Climate Justice Alliance as an anti-Semitic pro-Hamas group set to receive $50 million from IRA funds. The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board covered more about this group.

On June 12, Capito pointed out two radical groups—the New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice and New York Immigration Coalition—that oppose borders, ICE enforcement policies, and police activities. These groups are also set to help administer $50 million each from IRA funds.
