U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito has announced the nomination of 36 high school seniors from West Virginia for admission to various U.S. service academies. These nominees were selected by a board appointed by Senator Capito, which reviewed applications and conducted interviews.

"One of my most important responsibilities as a U.S. Senator is nominating bright, motivated West Virginians for admission to our nation’s prestigious service academies, and it is a task that I look forward to every year," stated Senator Capito. "I was extremely proud to nominate 36 outstanding West Virginians to represent our state at the service academies and become our nation’s future military leaders."

The nominations cover four institutions: the U.S. Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Merchant Marine Academy. Some students received nominations to more than one academy.

For further details on the nomination process, interested parties can visit Senator Capito's official website.
