Former George Washington High School star Cam Reed’s college squad, the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets, were defeated 8-7 by the Slippery Rock The Rock in their NCAA Division II baseball game at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 7.

The matchup was held at Jack Critchfield Park and marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.

Reed gave up five earned runs in three innings, striking out one batter and issuing one walk.

The Yellow Jackets are set to play Slippery Rock The Rock again at Jack Critchfield Park on Saturday, March 7, at 2:30 p.m.
