Diesel gas was sold at the lowest price of $3.19 per gallon at two gas stations in Kanawha County during the week ending Jan. 31, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Reported prices for diesel gas in Kanawha County averaged $3.48 per gallon.
Of the 97 reported gas stations located within Kanawha County, nine offered diesel gas.
The average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas in West Virginia was $3.58, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
