Marshall Volleyball Heads to Troy for a Pair of Matches

The Marshall University volleyball team (7-9, 1-3 Sun Belt) travels to Troy, Alabama, for two matches against the Troy Trojans (8-8, 2-2 Sun Belt) on Thursday and Friday. Both contests start at 7 p.m. EST/6 p.m. CST.

Thursday October 6th

Series History:

vs. Troy – Troy leads the all-time series 2-0, last meeting was on Sept. 14, 2019, in St. Louis, Missouri (3-1 Troy win)

Graduate student Macy McElhaney leads the Herd with 184 kills (3.07 kills per set). Senior Lydia Montague has a team- and conference-best 69 blocks.

Fifth-year senior Kaitlyn Gehler leads Marshall with 229 digs.

Sophomore Brynn Brown leads MU with eight double-doubles this season, including three triple-doubles, tied for fourth most in the country. The Sophomore setter recorded the 500th set of her career on Thursday against Georgia State.

Troy

The Trojans are 8-8 with a 2-2 conference record. They split a pair of matches last weekend at Southern Miss.Tori Hester is second in the Sun Belt with 268 kills as Amara Anderson has 640 assists this season, third in the league.
