WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), announced funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) to the Town of Burnsville, W.Va. The award, which was secured through a Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) request made by Senator Capito, will provide funding for the expansion of the wastewater collection system in Burnsville.
"I worked with local leaders to understand the need to develop a water system that works efficiently and meets the needs of the residents of Burnsville. I was proud to use my roles on both the EPW and Appropriations Committees to help deliver resources that Burnsville needs to expand its wastewater infrastructure and better serve the community," said Ranking Member Capito.
The individual award details include a $669,000 EPA CDS award to the Town of Burnsville, W.Va. to expand the capacity of Burnsville’s wastewater infrastructure through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
This funding will play a crucial role in improving the wastewater system in Burnsville, ensuring better services for the residents and enhancing the overall infrastructure of the town.
