"Today, the Senate has confirmed an EPA administrator who is well qualified and capable of returning the EPA to its core missions of protecting our land, air, and water, without inhibiting economic development," she stated.
Capito emphasized Zeldin's commitment to addressing environmental needs while working collaboratively with Congress members. She also highlighted his service record in both the U.S. Army and Congress as indicators of his dedication to public service.
Expressing confidence in Zeldin's capabilities, Capito added that he would be a significant figure within President Trump's cabinet. "I am confident he will perform the role of EPA administrator exceptionally well," she said, noting his involvement in tackling issues related to environment, infrastructure, and energy.
