Cost of college went up for all students at Ben Franklin Career Center

Tuition and fees rose 8.2 percent for 2018-19 at Ben Franklin Career Center, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

West Virginia students paid $5,430 to attend the public school this year – $413 more than the $5,017 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 79 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 31 students received grants or scholarships totaling $165,877.

Including all undergraduates (45), 41 students used grants or scholarships totaling $225,467.
