Bloomsburg Edges Shepherd Men’s Soccer

 Kody Besser scored on a header off a free kick by Stephen Hollis at the 62:10 mark to give Bloomsburg (5-2-1, 0-1-1 PSAC East) to a 2-1 win over Shepherd University (1-5-2, 0-4-0 PSAC East)  in PSAC East men's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon. 

Bloomsburg took a 1-0 lead on an own goal at the 51:05 mark. 

Shepherd tied the game at the 57:08 mark when senior forward Steven Zeballos Choque (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) found the back of the net on a header on a pass from freshman midfielder Bryce Kilmer (Inwood, W.Va./St. James School). 

Senior netminder Billy Wood (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) recorded six saves for the Rams. Brady Rimple posted five saves for the Huskies. 

Bloomsburg had an 18-10 edge in shots with a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal. The Huskies had a 6-3 edge in corner kicks. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 4 p.m. match.
