One of the most important factors in a college decision is the cost, and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step in receiving financial aid offers. Kanawha County high school seniors and guardians can receive free support completing the FAFSA on Monday, December 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the West Virginia State University Wilson Student Union, University of Charleston Clay Tower Building or West Side Maker’s Center at 602 Patrick Street.
This is the second set of support sessions offered by Kanawha County Schools. The first sessions supported almost 100 students and guardians across the county.
Both the student and guardian should bring their driver’s license and social security card. The guardian should also bring a copy of their 2021 tax return. To register for a confidential FAFSA session with a financial aid specialist, guardians can visit: http://bit.ly/3TAHVlu.
